AV Team

When: Sunday services

The AV (Audio / Visual) team is a core, intrigal part of every service, improving the experience for everyone

History

Since the Seeker Service began in 2000, there has always been a need for someone to manage the sound for the praise band and speakers, as well as to display song lyrics and sermon content on screen.

As the Seeker Service and praise band have developed and become a more integral part of our Sunday services, the Audio Visual (AV) requirements have grown significantly, both in terms of the equipment used and the technical expertise required.

The AV team has evolved from using a small portable mixing desk, laptop, projector and screen to operating a dedicated, purpose-built AV console. This now includes a fixed PC for displaying song lyrics, videos and other content on the large screen at the front of the church, a state-of-the-art digital audio mixing desk, and a multi-camera system.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes to how churches and communities were able to meet and worship. As a result, we expanded our AV capabilities further and introduced live streaming. We now regularly live stream our Sunday services, prayer times, Bible studies and other events, allowing people to participate even when they are unable to attend in person.

Please visit our Facebook page to watch our latest live streams and recordings.

The AV team is always happy to welcome new volunteers to the rota. No previous experience is necessary — training and support will be provided. If you are interested in technology, sound, video or simply want to get involved and help out, we would love to hear from you.
